1. Director

Description

We are looking for a Director based in HCMC or Hanoi. Investing or operating experience in property, services, financial services or infrastructure sectors preferred. Prior work experience in Vietnam is a strong plus. Fluency in Vietnamese is highly desirable. Salary and bonus is competitive with Vietnamese market. All Directors will have carried interest.

Candidates are expected to manage (and preferably, source) private equity investments in Vietnam. The individual should have 8+ years of professional experience either in industry or as an advisor or investor in that industry.

Responsibilities

  • Successful candidates will be required take a leadership role in all aspects of the investment lifecycle, and will:
  • Already have in place or build networks with intermediaries and executives to identify and source potential investment candidates
  • Interface directly with management teams to build relationships and trust during the due diligence process
  • Evaluate investment opportunities through detailed market analysis, management assessment, business model analysis, competitive positioning, accounting review, financial modeling, valuation, and other relevant investment due diligence
  • Drive the transaction process including financing and capital structuring, tax structuring, legal documentation, regulatory processing, and other relevant activities
  • Coordinate the internal investment process, including creating work plans and directing deal team activities, managing junior deal team members, producing regular update presentations, and compiling the final investment memorandum
  • Monitor portfolio companies, often as a board member or board observer
  • Improve portfolio companies through ongoing performance analysis, recruiting, sales lead introductions, and other relevant activities
  • Assist portfolio companies with capital markets activities, including M&A activity, follow-on financings, recapitalizations, IPO’s, and other transactions.

Requirements

  • Candidate profiles would include senior project managers at tier 1 business consultancies, investment bankers with specific experience in one of our targeted industries or managers in the industry with an outstanding track record in business development or strategy. Project management expertise is also required.
  • At least four years of experience in private equity, investment banking/asset management or management consulting

2. Investment Officer

We are looking for an Investment Officer to join the Ho Chi Minh City or Hanoi Office in a role focusing on executing investments. You will receive the opportunity to co-invest alongside the Firm in all private equity investments. Qualified candidates will also receive carry (profit share) on investments.

Candidates are expected to manage (and preferably, source) private equity investments in Vietnam. The individual should have 8+ years of professional experience either in industry or as an advisor or investor in that industry.

Description

The ideal candidate will work closely with senior professionals at the Firm and therefore will receive significant deal evaluation and execution responsibility. Typical responsibilities include supporting investment teams by assessing investment opportunities, structuring LOIs, conducting company and industry due diligence, building financial models, working with legal and financial advisors on deal structuring issues and gaining exposure to the transaction negotiations. Professionals will also work closely with portfolio company management teams to evaluate add-on investments, assess opportunities in new and existing markets and improve core operations.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will be a top performing analyst in their 2nd or 3rd year at a top-tier investment bank, strategy consulting firm or financial institution. The Firm is seeking candidates with quantitative and analytical skills, demonstrated modeling skills, a strong academic record, a high level of professional maturity and a solid work ethic.

3. Analyst

Description

The firm is looking for a candidate who will be responsible for research and analysis on specific, assigned industries/sectors and company including valuation on investment opportunities. Other responsibilities include:

  • Day to day project management and liaison with existing and prospective investees.
  • Project management including work plans, due diligence, financial valuation models, market/industry/company analyses and other relevant research.
  • Support senior professionals as necessary.

Requirement

  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree. Candidates with MBA’s or degrees from leading local universities in accounting and finance are preferred.
  • Strong finance and accounting background. Minimum 2 to 3 years of work experience in financial analysis. Experience in Big 4 accounting firms or leading local financial institutions a plus.
  • Good understanding of Vietnam’s financial markets.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills, ability to perform qualitative industry and business analyses.
  • Proficiency in written and verbal English.
  • Strong and professional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Mature but dynamic and creative
  • Team-oriented work attitude.
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity
  • Ability to learn new skills and concepts quickly.
  • Fluency in Vietnamese and English.
